On the weekend we had a football tournament which I was really looking forward to because dad was managing the team. Our first game was against ………… and we played extremely well and then about thirty seconds before the game finished they scored. I had a few shots on goal but I needed to take them first time because I might have had a clear chance on goal. The goal keeper made some excellent saves and our outfield players made some thrilling through balls.
After every game we drank some water while listening to my dad and Steve give us advice on what we could have done better and where the mistakes were. Once we had played all of our games we went to check if we had gone through to the quarter finals, but we were so unlucky because we only lost by one goal. It was a very fun tournament and I had a really enjoyable time.
By playing in this tournament I learnt that if you have no spirit you will not have a great game. You must try to the best of your ability and the hard work that you have done will pay off. No matter what, keep a smile on your face because that shows pure respect. You should have determination, courage, and respect.
